Well, I am back here again. I haven't been writing for a few days. On one hand I've been busy, on the other hand had eaten out a few times, nevertheless I still explored cooking in my kitchen. This time I have been up to the Italian Holiday Bread- Panettone. It was another sourdough recipe which looked fun enough. I don't remember even if I have ever eaten this bread before, but apparently people loved it.
I guess with this bread you have a choice of dried fruits. I chose dried cranberries, also the baking form options range from large pandoro/panettone pan, to small brioche cups. Not having a big tall pan, I made quite a few brioches. They were easy to bake, just around 15minutes, perfect bite size and look very cute.
As for the flavor... Well, again I have no experience what to compare it to. But the dough is incredibly flaky, not too sweet, and sourdough gives this nice fermented kick. A real success!!!
